🐾 Chrystal — Now Zuri

Chrystal came to us as a young pup, a purebred Cattle Dog with all the energy and spirit that breed is known for. But her start in life wasn't easy — she was abandoned by someone who, when they discovered she was deaf, simply couldn't handle it. Left behind through no fault of her own, we stepped in and brought her home to the shelter.

From day one, Chrystal was full of life — playful, curious, and never one to let her deafness slow her down. Caring for a deaf dog takes a little extra patience and a lot of hand signals, but she made it easy, meeting every day with the same boundless energy.

Then, one day, someone opened their heart and their home to her. Chrystal found her forever family — and a new name to go with it: Zuri. Not that she minds the name change one bit. After all, she can't hear you calling her anyway!

Today, Zuri has everything a young, mischievous Cattle Dog could want — a loving home, a canine best friend to play with, and all the naughtiness a deaf pup can get away with. She may not hear the world around her, but she's never once let that stop her from living life at full volume.
